Bergheim (dpa / lnw) - A truck accident on the A61 near Bergheim on Monday morning caused the direction of Koblenz to be blocked for hours. The result was a mile-long traffic jam. The semi-trailer tipped on its side between the Bergheim and Bergheim-Süd junctions for an initially unknown reason and remained lying across all lanes, as reported by the Bergheim fire brigade. The driver (54) suffered minor injuries. Because there was a suspicion that he was drunk, the police ordered a blood test, according to a spokesman. The tank was ruptured in the accident. Hundreds of liters of diesel ran out. A special company was commissioned with the salvage. According to the motorway company, the closure should last until the morning.
