North Rhine-Westphalia: car lost rear tires: technical cause, not a crime

Kleve (dpa / lnw) - The accident in Kleve, in which a car lost a rear tire while driving, was not caused by a crime, but by a technical cause. The police announced on Friday. At first, the police suspected that strangers had deliberately loosened the wheel nuts of the car. In the accident on Wednesday, the left rear tire had come off the car of a 58-year-old. The accident caused property damage, but the driver was not injured. Now it has turned out that the wheel nuts have come loose due to wear and tear and a knocked out thread and therefore no criminal offense has been committed, according to the police.
