North Rhine-Westphalia: cyclist collides with vans: seriously injured

Kaarst (dpa / lnw) - A cyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Kaarst in the Rhine district of Neuss. The 51-year-old overlooked a small van coming from the right at an intersection on Tuesday evening, as the police announced on Wednesday night. The 46-year-old driver of the van could not avoid a collision despite emergency braking. The cyclist, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious head injuries as a result of the collision and the fall. He was taken to a hospital.
