North Rhine-Westphalia: Defender McCrea moves to Düsseldorfer EG

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The Düsseldorfer EG from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) has signed defender Alec McCrea from league competitor Iserlohn Roosters. The American, who recently scored seven points in 32 appearances, is switching to DEG for the coming season, as the club announced on Sunday. "In Alec we have signed a right-shooting defender who will give our defense the necessary depth. He is tall, strong in tackles and plays very reliably and consistently defensively," said DEG sporting director Niki Mondt.
