North Rhine-Westphalia: Drunk women attack police officers after visiting the thermal baths

Euskirchen (dpa / lnw) - Two young women got drunk in a bathing and sauna area in Euskirchen - until the police came. They behaved very aggressively, as stated in a statement on Sunday. The two 25-year-olds had already noticed bad behavior by the security staff at the thermal baths. They were evicted from the house but refused to leave. Eventually, they left while swearing at the employees - and drove away in their car.

The alarmed police picked up the two a little later and wanted to take them to the police station. According to the police, the driver tried to avert this by paying money to the officers. When she was about to be put into the patrol car, she put up a lot of resistance and verbally abused the police officers. The friend even tried to get her out of the patrol car, punching and kicking the officers. They had to ask for help.

At the station, the two women had to sober up overnight. The list of criminal cases is longer: resisting law enforcement officers, insults, drunk driving, attempted bribery, attempted freeing of prisoners. One officer was slightly injured in the operation. The incident happened on Friday.
