North Rhine-Westphalia: fall when jumping in the bike park: 14-year-old seriously injured

Winterberg (dpa / lnw) - A 14-year-old was seriously injured in a bike fall in the Winterberg bike park in Sauerland. The youngster from Dortmund rode his mountain bike up a four-meter high ramp that allowed him to jump over a farm track. The police said he made a driving error that caused him to lose his balance. He fell and sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A rescue helicopter took him to the hospital.
