Witten (dpa / lnw) - After a domestic argument with a critically injured 55-year-old in Witten, investigations into the victim's son are ongoing. The 25-year-old suspect should be brought before a magistrate, a police spokesman said on Sunday. He was arrested on Saturday night after initially fleeing the scene. The 25-year-old is suspected of having attacked his father during a dispute with a previously unknown object. More background to the fact are not yet known, said the police spokesman. It will continue to be determined by the public prosecutor's office and a homicide commission.
The 55-year-old was taken to the hospital after the crime on Friday, where his condition stabilized. According to the police, a search helicopter and a special unit were also used in the search for the 25-year-old.
