North Rhine-Westphalia: Man saved unconscious from burning apartment

Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 72-year-old was seriously injured and unconscious from his burning apartment in Dortmund. A pizza delivery man saw a fire in the attic of an apartment building on Saturday night and alerted the fire brigade. The apartment door had to be opened by force, as reported by the fire brigade on Christmas Eve. The living room of the five-room apartment was already in full fire. The tenant was taken outside and, among other things, came to a specialist clinic in Dortmund with severe burns. The two apartments below were not inhabited during the night. The cause of the fire had yet to be determined.
