A man from Dortmund murders his mother at Christmas. The court has now committed him to psychiatry for an indefinite period.
Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - The Dortmund jury has sentenced a 30-year-old from Dortmund to nine and a half years in prison for murder. At the same time, the judges ordered the mentally ill German to be kept indefinitely in a closed psychiatric clinic on Wednesday. The accused has to stay there until the doctors are sure that he no longer poses a danger to the general public. Theoretically, it could also take longer than the nine and a half years. The accused had confessed to stabbing his mother in bed on the night of Boxing Day 2021. In the process he had explained that the 67-year-old had only annoyed him for years.
