North Rhine-Westphalia: overturned chip shop trailer blocked A44

Geseke (dpa / lnw) - A mobile chip stand that has fallen over has caused a kilometer-long traffic jam on the Autobahn 44 in the Soest district. A 50-year-old who pulled the chip shop as a trailer with his van wanted to drive onto the Autobahn near Geseke on Tuesday. This was announced by the police on Tuesday evening. The trailer then overturned due to a strong side wind and blocked the roadway. The A44 was blocked in the direction of Kassel for around an hour and a half, the driver was not injured, according to the police.
