Menden (dpa / lnw) - A 46-year-old father is said to have killed his wife in Menden, Sauerland, and then killed himself. The couple's children discovered a farewell letter in the apartment on Tuesday evening and then alerted the police, the public prosecutor's office in Arnsberg and the police in Iserlohn announced on Wednesday.
The officers then found the bodies of the 46-year-old and the 39-year-old woman in the attic of the apartment building. To protect the children, the investigators did not want to give any details of the crime and also remained silent about the motive. The ages of the children were not disclosed.
