North Rhine-Westphalia: wavy lines: drivers were probably drugged

Hürth (dpa / lnw) - A 24-year-old driver suspected of being under the influence of drugs kept the police on the A1 near Hürth in suspense. Witnesses had reported on Saturday that he was in wavy lines and was traveling too fast. Officials observed a little later how he overtook on the hard shoulder on the right and forced other cars to brake. Then he tried to push the squad car away. He is said to have shown his middle finger to the emergency services. When he tried to turn around on the freeway, he was wedged in by several patrol cars. He collided with two cars. He was taken into custody. A blood test was ordered, as the Cologne police reported on Monday.
