Essen (dpa / lnw) - The weekend in North Rhine-Westphalia will be uncomfortable - and there is no improvement in sight at the beginning of next week either. The German Weather Service (DWD) reported light rain or drizzle in some areas on Saturday and rain showers on Sunday. In addition, snowfall is to be expected in the mountains on both days. On Sunday, there could also be sleet or showers at lower altitudes. The DWD therefore warns of the local risk of ice. Temperatures will reach five to eight degrees on Saturday and up to seven degrees on Sunday.

According to the DWD, the new week will continue rainy. Temperatures will reach between four and seven degrees on Monday in cloudy weather. Sleet is expected to continue in the mountains. According to the DWD, it should also continue to rain on Tuesday.
