Saxony-Anhalt: Black ice: No serious accidents in Saxony-Anhalt

Magdeburg/Leipzig (dpa/sa) - The rainy transition from frost to plus degrees has led to slippery streets and sidewalks in many places in Saxony-Anhalt. At first, however, there were no serious traffic accidents or disabilities. The situation center of the Ministry of the Interior said: "So far we are not aware of any incidents in this context". A spokesman for the Halle police inspection said the number of accidents had increased somewhat with the onset of rain.

The German Weather Service had previously drawn attention to the danger of black ice. The permafrost will be ended on Monday by an approaching warm front. According to the DWD, the risk of black ice in the country will decrease in the course of the afternoon.
