Halle (dpa/sa) - For a week in Halle everything revolves around newly composed or compiled music for films. After the opening of the 15th Saxony-Anhalt Film Music Days on Sunday, industry representatives from film music, composition, sound design and production will come together in the city on the Saale until October 29th. The program includes a congress, workshops and a gala concert at the end.
According to the organizers, the congress participants want to deal with "musical traces and perspectives in film and work". The title is "Soundtrack of Life". The composer Tom Nazziola, who has made a name for himself worldwide with live film music as well as choral and orchestral pieces, is expected for the workshop part.
At the end of the Saxony-Anhalt Film Music Days, their 15th birthday will be celebrated with a gala concert in the Handel Hall. The Staatskapelle Halle plays classical and new film music under the direction of Bernd Ruf and is supported this year by the soloist and studied jazz musician Jessica Gall from Berlin.
