Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) - Because he was asked to leave a nightclub, a 36-year-old in Neubrandenburg is said to have threatened a club employee with a knife. According to the police, the 33-year-old employee of the disco had approached the 36-year-old on Sunday night because he was very drunk. The man is said to have pulled out a one-handed knife.

The threat was reported via 911. Officials were then able to secure the knife, the police said. A breath alcohol test revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.46. The emergency services also found narcotics on the 36-year-old. He was taken into custody to sober up. The investigations into threats, possession of narcotics and violation of the weapons law have been initiated, it said.
