Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The Left Group is demanding a rescue package of 300 million euros for the hospitals in Saxony-Anhalt from the state government. A corresponding application is to be debated in the state parliament session on Friday, said parliamentary director Stefan Gebhardt on Wednesday in Magdeburg. "Our application also includes the condition that the operators are not allowed to close any locations," said Gebhardt. The clinics would have to assure this in order to be able to receive funds from the rescue package.
According to the application, rising energy costs and the simultaneous expiry of the corona compensation payments and financing based on the case-based flat-rate system create a situation that threatens the existence of the hospitals.
