Riesa (dpa/sn) - A twelve-year-old injured a classmate of the same age with a knife on Wednesday morning in a high school in Riesa (Meissen district). The boy was taken to a hospital, police said. Investigations were underway into the background to the attack.
The crime happened early in the morning before class began. According to the information, two students and a teacher suffered a shock and also had to be medically cared for. A crisis intervention team from the Saxon police took care of those affected.
The 12-year-old was initially taken into custody by the police. The girl is not yet criminally responsible. It had come under "specialist treatment".
