Saxony: New Corona Protection Ordinance for Saxony passed

Dresden (dpa / sn) - Saxony's state government has passed the new Corona Protection Ordinance. According to information from Tuesday, it comes into force on October 1st and is valid until April 7th, 2023. The 60th regulation since the pandemic began in March 2020 does not provide for any tightening or major changes. It essentially follows the so-called basic protection measures that the Bundestag recently decided.

The central provisions include an FFP2 mask requirement in long-distance trains, clinics and medical practices as well as a mask and test certificate requirement for hospitals and care facilities. In addition, in the Free State, at least one medical face mask must be worn on buses and trains - children under the age of seven are exempt from this.
