Thuringia: 74-year-old dies on a bathing trip in Erfurt

Erfurt (dpa/th) - A 74-year-old died during a bathing trip on Erfurt's north beach. The senior was swimming with his friend in the lake on Monday when he developed health problems, the police said on Tuesday. The woman brought the man back to shore, where other bathers rushed to help. Despite immediate resuscitation measures, the man died on the spot. The criminal police are now investigating the exact circumstances of death, it said.
