Erfurt (dpa/th) - The balcony planting of his girlfriend angered a man in Erfurt so much that he threw his partner over the balcony railing. The 55-year-old was drunk and, out of anger at the gardening performance of the 53-year-old, grabbed her feet on Wednesday and pushed her 2.5 meters down from the mezzanine, the police said on Thursday. The woman, who was also drunk, suffered minor injuries.
The man was so upset that he even resisted the police officers who had been called. He was taken into custody. According to the police, he did not restrain himself in the cell either and spat on two officers. He was released again on Thursday night.
The 55-year-old is already known to the police for numerous violent crimes. He can expect ads for dangerous bodily harm, resistance to law enforcement officers and insults, among other things. The police could not say what the woman had planted.
