This rescue was recounted by the Lawrence Police Department of Kansas, USA.

A 12-year-old boy warned a man to save a 4-year old boy with autism from drowning in their family pool. This happened in Lawrence, Kansas on May 18, 2018. In the USA.

The child ran away from his mother's watch and went for the pool, before falling in it.

The video surveillance images show the boy struggling to drown.

A 12-year-old boy, a neighbor, was present in the area and saw the boy in his swimming pool.

He immediately went to his father Tom Westerhaus, to assist the boy. To rescue the child, the man leapt over the fence of the pool and garden and into the pool.

He performed a heart massage on her for over 4 minutes, saving her life.

Tom stated at a press conference that he knew it was a good sign when he began spitting water and other things.
