Weather report. Heat wave: Seven departments are under heatwave orange vigilance

France is slowly being affected by the heat wave. Meteo France placed seven départements on heatwave orange surveillance on Tuesday.

This vigilance is being applied to the Ardeche and Drome departments. The orange alert has been placed in the south-west by Gironde and Tarn-et-Garonne as well as Tarn-et-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne. Residents in affected areas should be "highly vigilant".

24 other departments are also on yellow alert, mostly on the west facade and in south-east.

Meteo France forecasts that a strong heat episode will develop south of the Garonne, in the lower Rhone Valley. Maximum temperatures could reach 36 to 39 degrees. The forecaster adds that temperatures will continue to rise over the next few days, so the episode should last for several days.

Meteo France indicated that it measured 34.6 degrees at Aubenas at 3:00 p.m. and 33.1 degrees in Montelimar at 3:00 p.m.
