Baerbock, Esken, Kühnert, Merz: "Reichsbürger" group kept "enemy list"

The "Reichsbürger" group, which was raised during the raid on Wednesday, apparently also posed a very specific danger for 18 people. Even before the police action, the investigators came across a list of "enemies". There are many top politicians in the country on it.

According to a report by Berlin's "taz", several top politicians and other celebrities are on an "enemy list" of the group of so-called "Reichsbürger" that was lifted out on Wednesday. According to "taz" research, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, SPD leader Saskia Esken, SPD General Secretary Kevin Kühnert and former CDU leader Armin Laschet are affected.

According to information from security circles, the current CDU leader Friedrich Merz is also on the list, it said. According to "taz", the list of 18 celebrities also includes three well-known TV presenters from public broadcasters. The list had already been discovered during investigations before the major raid on Wednesday.

"We mustn't underestimate the danger posed by violent 'Reich citizens'. These people don't just fantasize about conspiracy theories. They had concrete plans that they were willing to implement," Esken told the newspaper.

The Attorney General did not want to comment on the matter when asked by "taz". Referring to a risk assessment by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) for the Bundestag, it was said that there were no indications that the risk could be specified.
