Incident at FDP meetings: activists bother Lindner – he reacts snappy

At the Epiphany meeting of the FDP in the opera house in Stuttgart, during the speech by party leader Lindner, the audience suddenly looked at a group of climate activists. They unroll banners and sing along. With his reaction, Lindner causes laughter.

Climate activists had gained access to the opera in Stuttgart at the traditional Epiphany meeting of the Free Democrats. There they disrupted the rally during the speech by Federal Chairman Christian Lindner. As the activists rose from their seats on the gallery, they not only unfurled banners, but also sang "We shall overcome" slightly off-key.

Lindner reacted to the action with biting humor. "You won't get into the hit parade with that," he said. And added: "Hold tight. Take lots of glue. Because if you stick here, you couldn't hinder anyone else." The reaction caused applause and laughter from the FDP audience. On the banners of the activists were inscriptions such as "Climate collapse = economic collapse" or "It is better not to govern than wrong. Therefore speed limit immediately."

In his speech at the Epiphany meeting, Lindner welcomed the delivery of German armored personnel carriers to Ukraine after the disruption, but urged more speed in future decisions of this kind. It is important to "bring about such resolutions more quickly" among the Allies. With such decisions, Germany also shares responsibility for the future of Ukraine.
