Munich (dpa / lby) - The basketball players at FC Bayern have signed the promising US professional Cassius Winston. As Munich announced on Thursday, the 24-year-old guard with initial NBA experience signed a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season.
"With his package, he is an ideal addition to our existing backcourt with his playmaking, creativity and scoring," said Bayern sports director Daniele Baiesi in a club statement: "Despite his young age, he already has a great basketball personality."
Winston made 22 short appearances with the Washington Wizards in his rookie 2020-21 NBA season. In the past season, he played seven times in North America's professional basketball league. "I'm a real playmaker who knows how to win games and who will give everything every night," promised the newcomer from Munich.
