The second edition of the national celebration day of the police was held on Thursday, July 7th in the Chambery police station's main courtyard. Civil and military authorities were present. Pascal Bolot, the prefect of Savoie read the message that was sent by the Minister for the Interior to the police. This day honors all those who have distinguished themselves in the past year and pays tribute to fallen police officers. The prefect was presented with the medal honor for courage and devotion by Julien Duhamel and Jerome Chappa, divisional commissioners, and Frederic Walocq, brigadier-chief of the CSP. He was also presented with the silver medal of honor for the national police, which he received from the peacekeepers Eric Breiscich and Sabah Chakri, both of the CSP at Aix-les-Bains.
