Wismar (dpa / mv) - The police in Wismar are looking for arsonists. As a police spokeswoman said on Friday, fires were repeatedly set in the Blowatz region not far from Wismar, most recently on Thursday evening in a wooded area. About 40 firefighters had to move out to extinguish the fire in the Niendorfer forest on about 500 square meters.
On Tuesday there was a forest fire near Dreveskirchen, which is also associated with the arson. The entire series now includes around ten fires and has been going on since April. Among other things, two straw heaps were set on fire at different locations, destroying almost 900 bales of straw. The damage was estimated at 27,000 euros here alone. Garbage containers and embankments were also set on fire. Nobody got hurt.
