Baden-Württemberg: 1: 1 in Fürth: Sandhausen remains without a win

Fürth (dpa / lsw) - SV Sandhausen's winless series in the 2nd Bundesliga continues. Coach Alois Schwartz's team couldn't get past a 1-1 (0-1) draw at SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Saturday, despite a lead from Alexander Esswein (12th minute). Three minutes after the break, Julian Green scored to equalize for the relegated team. It is the seventh game in a row in which Sandhausen was unable to score a threesome. In the bottom half of the table, SVS is still one point ahead of Fürth with nine points.

Although the Franconians were closer to victory, Sandhausen defended compactly. Fürth's coach Marc Schneider had to keep struggling on the sidelines. Visiting goalkeeper Patrick Drewes reacted very well twice to shots from Ragnar Ache (35') and Green (37') when the hosts were under pressure before the break. A header from attacker Ache flew just wide of the goal in the 73rd minute. In the final phase, SVS midfielder Tom Trybull saw the yellow-red card because of a game delay.
