Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - After the hacker attack on the Facebook page of the second division football club Karlsruher SC, the investigations are ongoing. This was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Karlsruhe police headquarters on Monday morning for the German Press Agency. According to the police, alleged child pornography content by previously unknown perpetrators was published on Saturday evening on the KSC social media account, which is followed by more than 111,000 users.
The club brought the situation under control as quickly as possible and deleted the third-party content. In a statement it said: "We clearly distance ourselves from all published material and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. The club has already taken all steps to fully clarify the incident as quickly as possible."
The police spokeswoman referred to the ongoing investigations by the responsible criminal inspection departments of the criminal police department. For this reason, no further information is available at this time.
