Ulm (dpa / lsw) - Presumably climate activists have let air out of the tires on several parked vehicles in Ulm and in some cases also stored screws under the wheels. The screws were placed in such a way that they damaged the tires when driving away, a police spokesman said on Thursday. The owners would have noticed this in time.
The perpetrators released air through the valves on 26 vehicles during the night on Thursday, some of them on several tires. Police believe more vehicles are affected. On individual cars, the police found notes that probably come from the perpetrators. In it, the authors pretend to be climate activists. The police have started investigations.
Already in April, strangers had let air out of the tires of eleven vehicles in the western part of Ulm. The perpetrators have not yet been identified.
