Baden-Württemberg: cloudy prospects for the southwest: rain showers expected

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Typical autumn weather will dominate in Baden-Württemberg over the next few days. A low-pressure area over the North Atlantic is responsible for this, as a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) explained on Thursday in Stuttgart. The colder air masses will therefore move over the southwest on Friday night. "We have rain on the map," said the DWD meteorologist. He expects maximum values of 8 degrees in the mountain forest and 14 degrees in the Upper Rhine Graben.

On Friday morning, the rain will move towards eastern Germany, according to the weather expert. In the southwest, however, this only caused a short break in the rain. "From midday there will be numerous showers in the west and south of Baden-Württemberg." A brief thunderstorm may be expected in the Black Forest.

Showers into the night also ensure a dull start to the weekend. According to the DWD, they only decrease during the course of the day on Saturday when a small high spreads. "Saturday afternoon there would also be some sun possible with temperatures around 10 degrees," added the meteorologist. Fog spreads on Sunday night, and ground frost is also possible at 1 to 3 degrees. The weather was unstable on Sunday as well. An outbreak of winter is not in sight.
