Schlierbach (dpa / lsw) - A 58-year-old is said to have shot his brother (55) with a crossbow. He was taken into custody on Sunday on suspicion of attempted manslaughter, the police said on Monday. According to the officials, the suspect called the police in Schlierbach (Göppingen district) on Saturday and said that he was driving his car to his brothers. He wanted to shoot her with his crossbow. When he arrived at the scene of the crime, he met two of his brothers in front of the apartment building.
The 55-year-old brother fled into the house and holed up behind the front door. After the suspect could not open the door, he is said to have shot his brother through the glass door with a crossbow. The bolt penetrated the glass of the door and injured him in the area of his left chest. According to the police, the 58-year-old was overpowered by his 55-year-old brother when he was reloading the gun and was held until the officers arrived. The police arrested the suspect without resistance. The police could not provide any further details.
