Esslingen (dpa / lsw) - As a taxi driver, he is said to have brought cocaine and marijuana to his customers - now a 49-year-old is in custody in Esslingen. The investigators accuse him of commercial drug trafficking, as the public prosecutor and the police announced on Wednesday. The man had a relevant criminal record and was on probation.
The investigators became aware of the suspect through cracked data from an encrypted communication platform. When they searched his apartment on Tuesday, they found 30,000 euros, which are believed to come from drug deals.
According to the announcement, a 24-year-old possible accomplice is already in custody in northern Germany. He was caught with cocaine during a police check. A 28-year-old woman is also being investigated. She is said to have provided assistance.
