Wiesloch (dpa / lsw) - A drunk driver in the Rhein-Neckar district drove his car into the oncoming lane and caused an accident with three injuries. As the police further announced, a breath alcohol test showed a value of 1.88 per thousand. The 69-year-old lost control of his car on a street near Wiesloch on Friday, got into the oncoming lane and collided with a car.

The car also collided with another car, according to police information on Saturday. The person who caused the accident suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other two vehicles suffered minor injuries. The cars had to be towed. The driver's license of the driver who caused the accident was confiscated. He now faces charges of dangerous driving, drunk driving and negligent bodily harm.
