Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After killing his wife and fleeing to Turkey, the police arrested a 36-year-old at Stuttgart Airport on Thursday. The man is now in custody, the public prosecutor and the police said. He had apparently announced his return to Germany through his lawyers.
The man, a German national, is accused of killing his estranged 32-year-old wife on the night of July 10 and leaving her in a car in the Mercedes-Benz car park. The woman had previously been reported missing.
The case caused a stir because her body was found in Stuttgart on the same day as two dead men. According to initial findings, the police ruled out a connection.
