Freiburg (dpa / lsw) - A student announced on Friday night on an Internet platform that a bomb was to explode in a Freiburg school. The police had become aware of the announcement by themselves, said a spokesman without giving details. When the 19-year-old was identified, he admitted to having written the bomb threat, which, however, was not meant seriously. However, for security reasons, the school was evacuated in the morning and searched for hours. Around 700 students and school staff were affected by the eviction. A bomb or other explosive device was not found.
The young man now faces criminal proceedings for disturbing the public peace by threatening to commit a crime. According to the police, it is also being checked to what extent he has to pay for the costs of the operation.
