Baden-Württemberg: SV Sandhausen gets goalkeeper Königsmann

Sandhausen (dpa / lsw) - Second division soccer team SV Sandhausen has signed Timo Königsmann as an additional goalkeeper. The 25-year-old played for the third division team SV Waldhof Mannheim until the summer and has kept fit in Sandhausen ever since. The club is reacting to the failure of goalkeeper Patrick Drewes and Benedikt Grawe, the SVS announced on Friday. Against Jahn Regensburg on Saturday (1 p.m. / Sky) substitute keeper Nikolai Rehnen is expected to be in goal. He came on as a substitute for Drewes in the 8-7 penalty shoot-out against league rivals Karlsruher SC in the DFB Cup on Wednesday. Drewes had torn a muscle fiber in his calf.
