Schweinfurt (dpa / lby) - An eleven-year-old was rescued from a quarry pond in Lower Franconia and revived. The child had gone under in the lake near Schweinfurt for an unexplained reason, as the city administration announced on Friday. With the help of witnesses, firefighters found the boy on Thursday and brought him to shore. Paramedics revived him there. A rescue helicopter flew the eleven-year-old to the hospital. According to the fire brigade, it was initially unclear who the boy was swimming with.
