Straubing (dpa / lby) - The Straubing Tigers can continue to plan with ice hockey professional JC Lipon. The 29-year-old Canadian has prematurely extended his contract by a year, as the DEL club announced on Monday. The attacker scored 18 goals in 50 games in the German Ice Hockey League. He also had 19 assists for Lower Bavaria.
"JC Lipon is an important part of our team. With his speed and his physical style of play, he fits our organization like a glove," said Straubing's sporting director Jason Dunham. The Canadian is "a leader".
