Bavaria: Increased water levels on the Isar: further increase expected

Munich (dpa / lby) - Because of the rain, the water levels on the Isar in Munich were higher than usual early on Friday afternoon. Due to the heavy rainfall that lasted until Saturday, the Isar should continue to rise, as the Munich district office announced on Friday. The levels are currently just below reporting level 2 according to the flood news service. According to the information, a further increase is expected on Saturday morning. Since strong currents and increased amounts of flotsam are to be expected, there is a considerable danger for boaters and bathers. In the morning, the city therefore urgently advised against going into or onto the water.
