Bavaria: Paragliders pulled through the creek: seriously injured

Halblech (dpa/lby) - During the landing approach, a man in Ostallgäu lost control of his paraglider, was pulled through a creek and was seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. There was a strong tailwind, which caused the pilot to accelerate at low altitude and was no longer able to control his glider. The experienced pilot came to rest on Monday in a meadow near the landing field in Halblech and seriously injured his head and back.

Regardless of the accident, the German Hang Glider Association warned paraglider and hang glider pilots about the current weather conditions on Facebook on Tuesday. This involves demanding conditions that could quickly overwhelm inexperienced pilots.
