Bavaria: posters on railway tracks: the process begins in the fall

Gemünden (dpa / lby) - Two alleged "lateral thinkers" have to answer to a court in autumn because of a dangerous poster campaign on an ICE route in Lower Franconia. The trial against the two accused begins on October 26, as a spokesman for the district court in Gemünden (Main-Spessart district) announced on Wednesday. The media had previously reported about it.

The public prosecutor's office accuses the woman and the man of intentionally dangerously intervening in rail traffic. In January 2021, they are said to have helped put up five posters attached to wooden slats over the tracks on the Gemünden-Waigolshausen railway line.

An ICE coming from Schweinfurt drove through a tarpaulin at about 100 km/h. The train driver initiated an emergency stop. Nobody got hurt. The railcar was slightly damaged. At the time, the investigators quickly assumed that opponents of the corona measures could be responsible for the action.
