According to the information, four other artists will also receive the award. Among them is the writer Augusta Laar, who founded the Schamrock Festival of Female Poets in Munich and Vienna - according to the information, the only festival for female poets in the world. The countertenor Valer Sabadus is honored for his voice. Olaf Unverzart is known for his photographs. Actress and singer Lucy Wilke plays in the ensemble of the Munich Kammerspiele and also receives prize money of 5,000 euros for her performance.

The Bavarian Culture Prize was first awarded in 1959 by Bayernwerk and its predecessor companies.
