"Going through hard times": Stallone worries about friend Willis

Earlier this year, Bruce Willis' family announced his retirement. The Hollywood star suffers from a speech impediment. There is apparently no improvement in sight, as his longtime friend Sylvester Stallone now reveals. "It pisses me off," the actor said.

Sylvester Stallone has opened up about the current health of his friend and fellow actor Bruce Willis. The "Die Hard" star announced the end of his career more than six months ago after being diagnosed with aphasia, a speech impairment.

"Bruce is going through a really, really difficult time," Stallone said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Accordingly, the 67-year-old Willis is in a kind of isolation, "so somehow without contact with the outside world," continued the "Rocky" star. "It's killing me. It's so sad," Stallone said.

Among other things, Stallone and Willis were in front of the camera together for the action film series "The Expendables" (2010 and 2012). After Willis' illness became public in March 2022, Stallone was among the first celebrities to come out publicly to pay tribute to him. With a series of pictures on his official Instagram account, Sly proved that Willis is not only a colleague for him, but also a good and long-standing friend.

The first photo shows the two as young men on a roller coaster. In the second shot, they cruise together on motorbikes, and the third shot seems to have been taken while shooting one of the "Expendables" films together. The last picture shows a heartfelt and hearty hug between the two. Alongside the pictures, Stallone, 76, wrote: "We've come a long way. I pray for the best for you and your wonderful family."
