Hesse: Five men in court for vigorous cannabis trade

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - From Wednesday (9.15 a.m.) five men are standing before the Frankfurt district court because of vigorous drug trafficking via the Internet. According to the indictment, the alleged perpetrators, who are between 25 and 40 years old, are said to have obtained a total of 250 kilograms of cannabis from Spain in five deliveries in spring 2021. They are said to have subsequently resold it via encrypted Internet platforms. According to police calculations, the market value of the drugs was around 775,000 euros. The accused were arrested with the help of telephone surveillance measures. The criminal court has initially scheduled ten days of hearings until the beginning of May.
