Hesse: homeless person in court for arson

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - After a fire in a high-rise apartment building in Frankfurt, a homeless person has to answer to the Frankfurt Regional Court from this Friday (9.15 a.m.). The indictment charges the 40-year-old with particularly serious arson. Accordingly, he set a fire in an apartment in January of this year, which quickly spread throughout the entire building in the Frankfurt-Höchst district. Nine residents had to be evacuated from the smoke-filled house. Due to the fire brigade operation, the overhead line of a nearby tram line had to be switched off. The criminal court initially scheduled four days of hearings until mid-October.
