Hesse: Number of employees in the Hessian health care system is growing

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - In the first Corona year 2020, the number of employees in the Hessian health care system increased. A total of 455,400 people was reached, as the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Wiesbaden. That was 1.4 percent more than the year before. Over the past decade, the number of staff has even increased by 22.4 percent. Nursing facilities and hospitals recorded the largest increase in staff. The majority of healthcare workers were women at 71.8 percent.
