Hessen: Eintracht newcomer Kolo Muani: "Happy to be here"

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - Despite a few offers, Randal Kolo Muani did not have to think long before moving from FC Nantes to Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer. "Eintracht was the club that I felt the most attraction to. Everything is very familiar. I had a good feeling during the talks and when I saw the team on TV," said the 23-year-old offensive player on Thursday at his official performance.

The Frenchman reported that he was well received by the Bundesliga club. "The first few days went very well. The coach and teammates made it very easy for me to integrate," said Kolo Muani. But he hasn't seen much of the city yet. "In any case, I'm someone who prefers to be at home and to myself in order to have full focus on football," he revealed.

The French U21 national player, who was at the Olympic Games in Tokyo last year, also wants to quickly integrate into the sport. "I can bring in speed and technique and switch to the wings. Besides, why not score more goals?" said Kolo Muani.

He scored 13 goals for Nantes last season and celebrated a cup win with the club. Now he hopes for further successes with the Hessians. "We will work hard for that. We have a great season ahead of us. I'm happy to be here," emphasized the new signing.
