Joy about RTL comeback: Dieter Bohlen wants to "fire" at DSDS

RTL announces that Dieter Bohlen will be brought back for the 20th and final season of DSDS. The joy on the part of his fans is great and the pop titan himself is happy about his new old job. He thanks his supporters on social media and promises: "Now we'll give fire."

Dieter Bohlen returns to the jury of the RTL casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in 2023. Next year "DSDS" will be 20 years old and will end with the anniversary season. In an Instagram clip, Bohlen, who had retired as a jury veteran for a season, thanked his fans. "You did it, you made terror for so long," he explains to the video, which he says with "I owe it to you!" commented.

We are full of new ideas. We're hatching new things and we're burning," he tells his followers euphorically. It remains unclear whether he only means the upcoming "DSDS" season or new projects. Bohlen, who wears sunglasses in the clip, says about his one-year break on a boat says: "We were a bit tired maybe. Always together after 18 or 19 years, I'll honestly admit that you might be a little turned off. But now it's really starting. Now let's fire."

"

In the comment column, Bohlen's followers express their joy at the comeback. Former "DSDS" jury colleague Oana Nechiti is also enthusiastic: "You were always there with body and soul! Good luck and have fun with the new season! We look forward to seeing you in action again!"

Previously, Bohlen had said in a statement about his casting show comeback: "I always said: I had a great time at the station, I felt at home. That's why I'm very happy to be back at 'DSDS'. " The pop titan also took the opportunity to call on fans to apply: "It's the last time you can sing in front of the great master."

According to RTL, the jury from this year, consisting of Florian Silbereisen, Ilse DeLange and Toby Gad, will no longer sit on the jury chairs. With Silbereisen, however, the broadcaster will develop “new, independent program formats”. All further details on the “DSDS” anniversary season should then be announced in spring 2023.
